Good morning, everyone!Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday so far! I can't believe it's already August 16th...this summer has flown by, and I'm losing track of the days. After my run this morning, I whipped up this awesome smoothie bowl (sorry, roomies, for the noise!), and I wanted to share with you the recipe! This recipe is a great post-workout smoothie bowl, as it's filled with plant-based protein, antioxidants, and healthy fats to refuel your body, regulate insulin, and help your muscles recover faster. It's a simple base of a frozen banana, frozen strawberries, some almond milk, spinach, and matcha powder (for those green tea fans!). I love topping mine with a spoonful of almond butter and a sprinkle of chia seeds (gotta get those omega-3s in!). One thing I love about bowls is the convenience factor- you can literally pile in anything that you want, and it's all in one bowl, all mixed together in a blend of yumminess. Aside from my normal toppings, I love to also add fresh fruit, chopped up nuts, cacao nibs/chocolate chips, and ground flaxseed. Check it out! Strawnanaberry Smoothie |
